It's a race on all fronts, declared Bill Storen, chief election officer for the City of Chilliwack, just after the 4 p.m. deadline for handing in nomination papers for civic elections had passed on Friday afternoon...

...It's an actual race for school trustees — but only by hours.

Incumbent trustee candidates Silvia Dyck, John-Henry Harter, Martha Wiens and Doug McKay are in the race again, against Donald Costin, Karen Davis, Heather Maahs, Louise Piper and Darlene Wahlstrom...

This was the common view among the eight school trustee candidates during the district parent advisory council's second and final forum for board hopefuls Wednesday night.
