This is a dandy which I actually ended up with two copies of and I can't remember how that happened. Anyway, I highly recommend this book. It's actually a history of education in Ontario, but it can easily apply to any of our provinces.

The best way to describe it is to highlight the contents:

1. To read or not to read
2. Can a little child lead us?
3. The Death of the 3 Rs.
4. The Road to Illiteracy-The Bastions of Progressive Education Emerge
5. Dissenters-Academics and Educators Challenge the New Orthodoxy
6. The Era of Parental Discontent

If someone would like to borrow my second copy, let me know.
