The Schools We Need is the evolution of The Parent Online Network. We have been an email discussion group for the past 15 years and have decided to blow the doors off our closed discussion in order to share what we consider to be important principles in education. We are parents, grandparents, trustees, ministry officials, teachers, and tax payers.

This entire system more often than not seems to forget that education is for the students. At present, agendas tend to run rampant and power struggles rule the days. We seek to keep students and what is best for them at the forefront of our education system. We have no agendas, and no political aspirations, just very simply, we want the best for the students.

The Golden Rule applies here: Speak to and treat others as you wish to be spoken to or treated.
